Another Dimension is a free first-person VR puzzle platformer that runs in your browser. You fell through a crack between two realities, and every platform exists in only one of them. Shift between Reality A and Reality B, even in mid-air, to cross 20 levels in four surreal worlds.

How reality shifting works

Platforms tinted in the first color live in Reality A. Platforms in the second color live in Reality B. White or pale platforms exist in both. The reality you are not in shows up as a faint outline, so you can plan your next move. Shift and the world dissolves and re-forms around you along a glowing edge.

Some lasers only exist in one reality. Shift into the other one and walk straight through. Launch cannons fire you in a long arc to a far platform, rings bounce you high, cracked platforms crumble a second after you land, and moving platforms carry you with them.

Controls

Computer: click to start, W A S D to move, mouse to look, Space to jump, E, Shift or right-click to shift reality, Esc to pause.
Phone or tablet: thumb joystick to move, drag to look, JUMP and SHIFT buttons.
VR headset: open the site in your headset browser, such as the Meta Quest Browser, and tap Enter VR. The left stick moves, the right stick snap-turns, A jumps and the trigger shifts.

Is Another Dimension free?

Yes. Another Dimension is a free VR game that runs in your web browser. There is nothing to download or install and no account to make.

Do I need a VR headset?

No. It plays in first person on a computer, phone or tablet. If you have a headset, open the site in its browser and tap Enter VR to play in full virtual reality through WebXR.

How do I play on a Meta Quest?

Open anotherdimensionvr.com in the Meta Quest Browser and tap Enter VR. The left stick moves, the right stick snap-turns, the A button jumps and the trigger shifts between realities.

What does shifting realities do?

Every platform exists in Reality A, Reality B or both. Shifting swaps which reality you are standing in, so platforms appear and vanish around you. You can shift in mid-air to land on a platform that was not there when you jumped.

How many levels are there?

Twenty levels across four realities: the Prism Void, the Ink Realm, Liquid Chrome and the Fractal Core. Each level has three stars to earn.

Is every level beatable?

Yes. Every jump in every level was test-played by an automated runner using the same physics as the game before it was included.

Does it save my progress?

Yes. Unlocked levels, stars and best times are saved in your browser on the device you play on.
